2Read is designed to foster a lifelong love of reading while building bridges between public and non-public school students. By pairing high school mentors with elementary students, the program creates meaningful, two-way reading partnerships where both students read with and to each other. This makes reading engaging, social, and enjoyable. Without the pressure of formal instruction, students grow in confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and see reading as a positive experience.
